Using cell-phones in classroom. Beneficial or harmful?


It's already a fact that the technology is a tremendously and powerful tool for –and made for- the human being. So much so that the technology has invaded our public and private life, so, there are both arguments for and against its use. One of the best examples for this situation, it’s revealed through the use of the cell phone; it’s seems that nobody could live without their cellphone, even children, who constantly use the cellphone in classroom. In these sense, some people argue that using cell-phones in the classroom could be beneficial, others are totally disagree about it.  Principal arguments they allude to the benefit and the creation of a new era of education and others say the use is very harmful to the children, the learning and his capabilities. Despite that, in this essay we are going to define the use of cellphones as a beneficial one, both for teachers and for students, which must be accompanied by education on the subject of technologies.

Using cellphones at classroom has a number of advantages. Have an actual cellphone provides to the student the opportunity to accesses a hundred of web sites related to the class, helping to expand the information grated by the teacher, which one it’s not normally to do in the traditional education system. Besides, helps to do the class in a more dynamic way, using the different applications or tools that the cellphone provides. In other terms, using the cellphone can help can help students to have a quickly write about the teacher says, being able to increase the concentration in them.

On the other hand, there are also arguments in support of the harmful damage of using cellphones, which one are supported by the low rates of education in people in topics of technology. In this sense, there’s a high portents of population who thinks that this could increase the lack of communication and decrease the direct relationship between teacher and student, besides people argue that children, that children would occupy the cell phone for other non-educational purposes, like play or occupy social networks. However, these things are prejudices around the use of the cell phone that must be countered with education. In the prohibition of the use of the cell phone is the main problem.

On balance, it’s important to know the use of actual technologies has multiples benefits, which one is dynamism in classes, speed, explore new knowledge, etc. Besides, it has counterarguments commonly associated the use of cellphones only with a recreational moment, without seeing the tremendous opportunities for daily life. It is necessary to blame people for the bad reputation around the use of cell phones, which is projected to the theme of children and the classroom.  It’s important to educate people in the technologies theme; we’re the future and the future probably will be more and more technology.
